Cubieboard v1 Android (A10 Based) / Clockworkmod recovery
« on: June 26, 2013, 04:46:14 am »
I have been playing with cwm recovery in Cubieboard.
I tried a lot versions but the versions for tablets dont have mouse suport and partiitions are different, so can't use.
The version that exists for MK802 works good but it have display problems.

So I find a webpage where it is possible to create a cwm from the original recovery:
I add my recovery.fstab with the correct partitions.
The result was very good, it can be controlled with the mouse, can mount partitons, and possibly make backups.

But I have some problems. Once I enter in cwm I can not go out. I think it is because it need clean misc partition in

I found a very usefull tool from mele called MeleTool.apk. This app allows replace the existing recovery.img for one that is in the sdcard and then we can reboot to recovery.
With this app there are too 3 bootloader.img files depending on the desired output VGA, HDMI, Cvbs.
This was great because I dont have hdmi tv, so I can use cwm in vga or cvbs.

The problem is that I can not put it to work on another rom than Mele. When I install it in other rom the cwm run because in adb it is detected as recovery but I can't see anything in the screen. I changed the script.bin to vga or cvbs but without success, and if I put the bootloader of Mele not even start. So should be some more file on the bootloader.img besides the script.bin which causes the output screen to be changed.

Cubieboard v1 Android (A10 Based) / Android Tv Box 2.2 problem
« on: May 21, 2013, 06:05:42 am »
I installed Tv box 2.2 and changed the fex file to have cvbs output.
When it boots and from time to time appears a message "the UI stop working"
Why the UI are crashing?

If in fex I define screen0 as cvbs, screen1 as vga and disable lcd0 it gets stuck in bootloop.
In the uart terminal I see a kernel panic and the sytem reboots.
Then I have to reinstall the rom using LiveSuit.
What could be causing the bootloop?

I donĀ“t have an hdmi tv to change the video out port to cvbs or vga in the android options, so how I can change that with the command line?
