would this work with cubieboard2?

PS: As i see there are images for CB2 too!

"For a headless server or light console / desktop operations mainline kernel (3.19.x and higher) is recommended. If you need support for advanced graphics, audio, IR, NAND, ... you should stick with 3.4."

What is that "..."? And which audio can't be used with 4.x kernel? I need only the jack audio, so if hdmi audio which can't be used, that's no problem for me. (using cubieboard2 as headless java application server, fileserver with samba, minidlna, and mpd)
Will be a distro upgrade for this?

Can i do something to get newer packages from apt-get? There are really ancient 2-3-4 years old packages in wheezy repositories.

I have a cubieboard 2, with a cubian running on it. Every time when i disconnect the lan cable and reconnect it to other device (router/switch), the receiving bandwidth of cubieboard falls to 3 mbit/sec, while the transmit remains at ~90 mbit/sec. If i restart the cubie, the receiving speed is normalized, until the next reconnect.
Why is this happen? Can i fix this without restarting the cubie each time?

can someone send to me a default $PATH variable for cubian? I've accidentally deleted it.
this is how you can write it out: echo $PATH

Hi sanyigz, I know It has been a while since your post but maybe you have time to provide me some tips.
Which was your final choice about DNLA server?
I would like to set up miniDNLA in my CB2 (with Cubian), Could you please provide some tips about how to install it?
Thanks a lot.

i still using minidlna on cubian. It can be obtained from the repositories with apt-get. The settings are in /etc/minidlna.conf and are self explanatory. Set the media folders in the conf, then restart with "service minidlna restart"

utorrent has only released for x86

I would like to use my cubie2 as a media renderer(only for music) controlled from my phone, so i don't need fancy GUI, but a headless lightweight renderer. I've tried the playbin plugin of rygel but doesn't showed up on any device. Any tips?

Which debian version's repositories used by this image?
1. i don't use apple devices, but the similar DLNA on my cubieboard2
3. I use btsync on cubie2, only an "ln -s /lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/ld-linux.so.3 /lib/ld-linux.so.3" was needed to make it run on cubiuntu.

SATA drive isn't more stable than USB... just as always, native (SATA) is faster and needs less CPU at write and read.
I don't know about the quality of audio jack, i've tried just once. I use HDMI for audio output.
Sometimes for me, the HDMI output stops working. The TV tells "no signal", mostly happens if i don't log in on gui, just leave on login screen. Few hours after this, the HDMI gets disabled. But sometimes happen if i logged in on desktop. However the OS doesn't freezes, everything works, except the HDMI output. If i restart the cb2, the HDMI works again.
Why does this happening? (nothing informative about hdmi in syslog).

I have installed this image on my C2 board. I just wonder why always after using "sudo" I receive this message: "unable to resolve host localhost.localdomain". Moreover I am not asked to enter password after using sudo! Why this happens and how I can resolve this issue?
Many thanks.

Yeah i had the same problem. But there are various other weird things happened when i was using this distro :(

thats the way i setup btsync, sorry it's in german only, but i guess you can read the important steps.
there is no magic, no special builds or whatever.

WOW thanks! The only modification needed was: ln -s /lib/arm-linux-gnueabihf/ld-linux.so.3 /lib/ld-linux.so.3

And it works.
I have a Samsung LED TV, and all you need is to use the screen modes with 60hz refresh rate. This is probably a bug of the TV as the same happens with my x86 PC used with the samsung TV. At 50hz, the is out from screen an the color enhancement things of the TV are remain enabled.
If set to 60hz, the desktop perfectly fits in screen also any enhancements are off so showing unmodified image.
