I had this problem too. I got it Line In to work by installing pulseaudio.

$ sudo apt-get install pulseaudio
You will need a 64 bit environment to build Android upwards of Gingerbread and up.

Hi, are you using x86 or x86_64?
Hi All,

I've been busy trying to compile Kitkat for Cubieboard. It's a work in progress but I've ironed out problematic repos within the manifest. Would like to have your opinions regarding the manifest.

I am merely continuing work done by @matson-hall and @jekstrand on Github. They both did manifests for Jellybean 4.1 & 4.2. The repos are listed below including mine:

The Kitkat I'm building will inherit the Jellybeans flaws. SATA and LAN is not working. I'm still figuring out the proper manifest for Kitkat, afterwards I will try to play with the kernel and the Settings app.

Would appreciate some thoughts about the manifest. Thanks before.

I'm trying to build Kitkat but finding the lack of documentation frustrating.

The hardware is Cubieboard A10 btw. I've successfully built OpenBox ICS (4.0) and Jellybean (4.1) from https://github.com/cubieboard/manifests with no SATA and LAN support unfortunately as the Jellybean README says.

Drivers aside, I found another repo by jekstrand with a manifest for Jellybean (4.2) and forked it to add a Kitkat manifest.

All the ROMs except for the OpenBox ROM are based on CyanogenMod. I had a lot of success compiling CM with other devices but still failing to do so with Cubieboard.

So if there are any docs you can help me with, I'll be more than willing to research deeper into Kitkat.
