Hello Sirs,
I also agree with the previous ones.
The software and support is the key point, all the other will be found in other boards. Also, opening Mali drivers for XBMC and others.
Thanks sirs

Cubieboard v3 Android (Cubietruck) / WiFi 5Ghz
April 08, 2014, 09:03:09 am
Hello Sirs,
Have anyone been able to connect CT to a 5Ghz Wifi connection?
Thanks

Hello Sirs,
There is a way to easily change the WiFi used, but you have to compile the software yourself.
Are you interested in?
Thanks

Hello Sirs,

I have been able to change the Kernel options to include Hidraw modules, but there are two things pending:
In the K400 keyboard only works the mouse
The mouse do not scroll, for example, in the applications list menu.

Have you got more? How? I am trying to do the changes before compiling, so the full .img compilation file has all K400 features enabled.

I am using SDK1.07 for cubietruck.

Thanks

Hello,
Also, is there a place where EDID could be enabled or disabled on Android?
Thanks

Hello Sirs,

Any help to find where the default parameters reside? (for example, if Ethernet is enabled, the timezone, etc.)
In /a20-android/build/tools/buildinfo.sh there are some of them, that finally are writen to /a20-android/out/target/product/sugar-cubietruck/system/build.prop, but I have not found yet where come from the other parameters that are in build.prop but not in buildinfo.sh

Any help would be apreciated.

Thanks

Hello Sirs,
I have found that when you unplug and replug the HDMI interface, it takes the default resolution and do not detect the máximum one supported.
By now, I can tell how to change the default one:

In /a20-android/frameworks/base/core/java/android/view/DispList.java

Change from:
    public static final DispFormat HDMI_DEFAULT_FORMAT  = DISP_FORMAT_HDMI_720P_60HZ;
To:
    public static final DispFormat HDMI_DEFAULT_FORMAT  = DISP_FORMAT_HDMI_1080P_60HZ;

Enjoy it  :-)

Hello Sirs,

I am researching also in this problem for CB2 and CT.
By now, points to DisplayController.java or sys_config.fex.

I will update if I have any progress.

Regards

Thanks ToaoF999,
I have test with that change on init_disp.c, and works when you start CB2 for first time, but once you unplug and replug the HDMI cable it goes to 720P again.
Then, once having in 720P, when you reboot it stays in 720P.
Then, once having in 720P, if you power off and on again, it stays in 720P.

I think that the problem could be in DisplayController.java, but still have not found how to solve (and trace).

Best regards

Hello Sirs,
Playing with SDK 1.07 compiled, I have found a bug where if you configure CB2 or CT with 1080p HDMI display, for example and then uunplugs and replug the HDMI cable to the TV, it turns againt to 720p.
Any help or clue?
Thanks

Hello Sir,
Please, look if WindowManagerService.java  computeForceAppOrientationLocked function looks like this:

./a20-android/frameworks/base/services/java/com/android/server/wm/

int computeForcedAppOrientationLocked() {
        int req = getOrientationFromWindowsLocked();
   //add by James
   int rotate_screen;
        rotate_screen=Settings.System.getInt(mContext.getContentResolver(),
                   "rotate_screen",0);
        //add by James
   if(rotate_screen==0){
   if (req == ActivityInfo.SCREEN_ORIENTATION_UNSPECIFIED) {
            req = getOrientationFromAppTokensLocked();
        }
   req = ActivityInfo.SCREEN_ORIENTATION_LANDSCAPE;
        return req;
   }
   else{
    if (req == ActivityInfo.SCREEN_ORIENTATION_UNSPECIFIED) {
            req = getOrientationFromAppTokensLocked();
        }
   req = ActivityInfo.SCREEN_ORIENTATION_PORTRAIT;
        return req;
   }
    }

Thanks zhalt,

I have tried without success.
I have the following files (lichee/linux-3.4/arch/arm/configs):

-rwxrwxr-x  1 root root 75109 Jan 15 09:45 cubieboard2_config
-rwxrwxr-x  1 root root 76059 Jan 15 09:45 cubietruck_config

But can not find the "sun7i_android_defconfig".

Where can I found it? Should I replace the content?

Thanks
