I've had my old Nokia battery running in ewell case for a few months now. I've really only relied on it for temporary power or power outs. Great for long distance video hot swapping. ;)

I have tried to connect an old 1100mA Nokia phone battery and everything seems fine, with charging and discharging voltages constantly changing. Here's a graph running on idle without SATA (my drive failed last week on CT).  8)

The Robopeak USB display Cubieboard II image works for the Cubietruck, which is cool but, unlike other CB2 images, I can't establish an IP on eth0 (ifconfig shows all but the IP). Any suggestion please?

For desert, try a game server like I have a home Minecraft server.  8)

That's very cool and look forward to the CT version.  ;D

Coincidentally, my Pi died the day after my CT arrived. It's been a while I need to really get another board.

Yes, I have one and XBMC interfaces runs the smoothest over CT and BBB. It's not much fun at the moment with limited distros support.

I would really like to benchmark 3D but linux quake is unable to run yet on CT or RXA but great on BBB.

Are there more possibilities for infos like hdd temp?

To get information about a HDD, you could install the "smartmontools" package and use the command "smartctl -A /dev/sda" to display S.M.A.R.T. values of /dev/sda.

Also:

apt-get install hddtemp
hddtemp /dev/sda

We need to get something like this to eliminate guess work.

That is plenty for daisy chaining 2.5 and 3.5 internal SATAs but the USB ports are still limited to 0.5A regardless of the input. So they do need to be powered, like from a powered hub.  ::)

1. Duplicate a SD mmcblk0p2 partition to the SATA sda1 partition!
2. Modify the SD mmcblk0p1 uEnv.txt boot from partition SD mmcmlk0p2 to SATA sda1 partition!

I couldn't get this to work with a USB drive.  :(

Before I tried a 2A powered USB hub, my 60GB external USB drive would instantly shutdown the CT because it needs more than 0.5A (x2 @ 1A), hence the two USB cables.
;)

I am running 2A with exactly all that together.  ;)

Actually, today wanted to add and plugged in an external non-powered USB 60GB HDD but when I run gparted, the CT immediately turns off.
