Then ask ikeeki. This release is a beta for now. Ikeeki wanted to restrict the access. There must be a reason which only ikeeki nows.
A develloper has created an SDCard-Image that schould boot on any Allwinner SoC (which are used in this forum) using an universal uBoot release.

Testing of this basic image be experienced devellopers is appreciated. There wil be no GUI nor a bootable kernel. You will need a serial connection to view the boot pozess.  Post your results to the Mailinglist below.

Here is some additional information
Hi Igor,
did you read this mailinglist entry about the universal uboou fot 3.4 and actual 3.18 kernels?

Because we will have simpleFB video output in kernel 3.19 that would be great to switch also to new mainline uboot. This uboot version should already support simpleFB.

We had some guys here which also have no hdmi output. Later they find that they use a wrong hdmi to vga/dvi adapter, had a brocken cable, tried tomset an unsupported hdmi resolution or hab a monitor that could not decode hdmi correct.

You have to exclude all this causes of your problem ...
There is no simple answer. It depends on your requirements regarding gpl.
If non free software doesn't matter try an image that uses CedarX. You need special compiled versions of e.g. XBMC or mplayer to use CedarX
A free alternative to CedarX is VDPAU/Cedrus which is work in progess to reengineer the driver vor the video codec on Allwinner SoC. Read her http://linux-sunxi.org/CedarX/Reverse_Engineering and here http://linux-sunxi.org/Cedrus

Ikeeki is working hard to find the most powerfull combination of all these options. He is also in contact with the vdpau develloper. So my suggestion is aRuntu.
Cubiuntu was a former linux-image release of ikeeki. It is outdated. Some people use it becaus of its video playing performance.

Ikeekis dns is still http://www.cubiuntu.com. He planed to change to aruntu.com.

Is there already an aruntu 1.111 version? Where can I find it? On ikeek's website there is only version 1.001.

Sorry i made a typo. 1.001 will be the right one....
You can find the otber here
I am not building kernels, but on the sunxi wiki thare are several howtos

Do you know, whether he plans to release a LTS-based image, 14.04?

There is still a missing displaydriver in ubuntu. It prevents ikeeki from using 14.04.

Anyway go for aruntu v1.111 !
Is this a secutity request?
Technicaly you  can delete the boot code from sdcard. Then bootrom on the SoC will not boot from that SDCard.
There is no way to change the bootrom on the SoC.

So the Output-Type looks good

Try a different resolution, for example line 1
extraargs=disp.screen0_output_type=3 disp.screen0_output_mode=1280x720p50 consoleblank=0 cubieboard2 sunxi_ve_mem_reserve=192
