I am trying to create a low volume product with the Cubieboard and was thinking of using the http://za.rs-online.com/web/p/lcd-colour-displays/7812992/ touchscreen combined with the Cubieboard. I am thinking about using the Cubieboard instead of a BeagleBone Black because it appears to have the necessary pins etc. built in for a LCD and a touch panel. My question is though, will this specific module be compatible and if so, could someone please give me an in depth explanation as to what exactly I need to do to get this screen up and running. I would love to be able to use Ubuntu (for the nice GUI) but Cubian will also do if it turns out to be much simpler that way.

I have already looked at this page http://linux-sunxi.org/Cubieboard/LVDS but I am not sure if this panel should be set up as LVDS as in interface number 3 and I am also a bit uncertain about what all the other values except screen resolution of course.

On the touch screen side though I could not find any documentation on how that should be set up yet so I would also appreciate help in getting that set up.

I doubt this panel uses LVDS; that's normally used on much bigger displays.  Looks like some parallel RGB interface with 45 pins.  Don't know if the A10 supports this.

The touch is described as 4-wire resistive, which the A10 supports directly.  See the http://linux-sunxi.org/A10/PIO#YP_TP pins and the FEX file configuration info: http://linux-sunxi.org/Fex_Guide#resistive_touch_panel_configuration.
