Is anyone else have the same problem of crashes when running apt-get update ? Is there anyay to fix this ? Ihave already tried the following.
remove sources.list fine and create new one. -  Does not work
apt-get install cubian-nandinstall does not work as I think there is a version mismatch. This command
looks for xxx.03 ver but current version is xxx.05.
cubian-update does not work.

Any help is appreciated.

I don't know whether you have cb1 or cb2, but
I have cb2 and had a lot of problems installing os on it.
What worked for me and what I recommend is to install
Lubuntu on NAND (faster than on sd card) with Phoenix Suit.
apt-get worked fine in lubuntu, be sure to set date first whenever
you login (because no rtc and this causes a lot of problems otherwise).
