I flashed ct-lubuntu-desktop-20131026

but i have problems with the onboard wifibt modules. are they present?

i need to rebuild the fex to make the device visible?

I'm not able to setup an access point using hostapd.

I think the main problem is this:
Failed to create interface mon.wlan0: -95 (Operation not supported)

Is there something missing in kernel? (it doesn't support monitor interfaces?)

how do you setup an AP?

It works!

I also can not connect my cubietruck to an access point. (Lubuntu 20131026, CT V100). Hardware is o.k. because i did connect with Android 4.2.2.

dmesg shows : [wifi_pm]: wifi gpio init is OK !!

But i can not configure WiFi on the gui network-tool "Preferences/Network Connections".
Do i miss any command for activation (except sudo modprobe bcmdhd) ?
How can i check, if wifi is up and running ?

There are two possible problems:

1. The driver doesn't support host ap mode.
2. The chip doesn't support host ap mode.

You should probably google around for info on the Broadcom wifi+bt chip to see if it can handle AP mode.  Note that just because you happen to find something on Broadcom's web site that says it supports it doesn't mean the linux drivers do.

Hi there!

I think I got the same problem as tbenr.

I am trying to set up a WLAN AP with my newly arrived cubietruck. That for I first checked if it was capable of doing so: http://pastebin.com/yR2U918u

The important lines:

The dmesg is here: http://sprunge.us/KPAD This is what I have just after inserting the module, so it fails already at this point. Can you show your dmesg just after inserting the module?

I haven't tried Android yet, so I do not know if the hardware is ok. Does it work for under Android for you?

Hi, you can connect as mode managed using in /etc/modules that line -> bcmdhd op_mode=2

i still have the Failed to create interface mon.wlan0: -95 (Operation not supported) error but now i can see the SSID!
