HOW TO get to login screen through VNC (CUBIUNTU A20/A10)

A little trick of my own.

Problem: when autologin is off it is kind of difficult to type the linaro/linaro or root/root (A20) or linaro/cubieboard (A10) if you are not plugged to the HDMI TV.

A Tunneling VNC through ssh

Some functions, like clippboard may be lost.
Weird problems like missing RAND, missing Xlib or "invalid MIT-MAGIC-COOKIE-1 error X11 initialization failed"

B Using SSL with VNC:

In cd /etc/xdg/lxsession/
erase the line and write:
x11vnc -ssl -unixpw -forever -display :0 &
Then reboot.
With ssvnc linux (or windows I suppose) programm, use the IP and session, a misterious black screen will appear, do not scream and tipe linaro linaro (cubiuntu A20) and you'll get to the login screen, if not, do this first:
Code: [Select]
ssh linaro@ -L 5901:localhost:5901
and once logged,
Code: [Select]
cd /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE$
Code: [Select]
./AUTO_VNC_VIEWER_con_PASS.shThen repead the same with the viewer I said.

C mixt use ssh + VNC

Access to the cubie with ssh comands, like
ssh linaro@ -L 5901:localhost:5901

Execute manually the server, as it still has not been switched on (not until autostart begins to do its stuff, just after the login screen )

Code: [Select]
cd /etc/xdg/lxsession/LXDE$
Code: [Select]
Now (from your pc, not the cubie, obviously) just access as you usually do when autologin is on and you will be able to see the login screen remotely.

This was just a tip, haters gonna hate.
