Building android from source?
« on: July 31, 2013, 03:10:40 am »
Hi everybody,  i'm downloading the image source from here http://linux-sunxi.org/Building_Android_TV_image.

The file is cubieboard_opentv.tar.gz

Now my question is simple really, everything i'm reading says how to build images on Linux.  But i'm needing to do this on windows.

Does anyone know how to do this or maybe point me towards a guide.  I'm trying to build it to flash to NAND

You may try cygwin but it may be problematic (ie. mount FS as case sensitive, maybe some dep missing ).
better is to use VMWare with linux, since modern cpus have virtualizations..

I have an image with cubieboard-tv-sdk ready to compile on it with all the dependencies, ubuntu 12.04.2 x64.... for vbox, I'm going to be uploading it shortly after a few more fixes, so let me know.  Oh I've changed the code so that portrait mode is allowable if you have a rotation utility that works (I know of one that does, called rotate from google play).

Anyways remind me later I'm kinda trying to figure out my next steps and haven't the time to do gig's of uploading at the moment, but this will at least spare people a wackload of bs.

Hello,
Can you please share the config to allow the rotation?
Thanks
