facts:
my pendrive works fine
usb keyboard works fine
hard drive does not appear on fdisk -l
power supply 5v3a

anyone can guess the cause?
maybe usb port cannot provide enough power for this disc ? (it does not have any external power input)

EDIT:
its A20 cubie

 :o 3 amp for cubie??? you're gonna toast it¡¡¡
If it is for the hdd (I doubt it) try giving 2 amps to cubie. Mine works, maybe kernel then?

i could toast it with more V not A, device will take as much amper as it needs, mora ampers mean i have more reserve

by 'Mine works' you mean, you are using external hdd like mine, and it works fine ?

i forgot to add its A20 cubie

Try with powered USB hub. Your hdd needs more current then USB port can deliver.

i am not in possession of powered usb hub right now, unfortunately

after some fiddling i have also discovered some problems with sata, probably will make another thread tomorrow
