I saw this reply from patwood: "Re: A20 Lubuntu Image Beta Kernel 3.4"

Is there some way to overclock the CPU/RAM?

People have overclocked the A10 up to 1.2GHz; however, we're a little more cautious about the A20.

Why? Too expensive/can't stand the heating?

There's still some confusion regarding the max voltage and frequency compared to the A10.  There's not much documentation from Allwinner, and the sources have conflicting comments.

The CB2 ships (or at least in early June shipped) with the CPU freq at 960MHz; I've run mine at 1GHz since I got it, but at the time I was playing around with this there were only 50 of them on the planet and mine was a loaner (and you couldn't order them yet).  Bricking it at the time wasn't an option.

Also wasn't sure whether the A20s on these early release boards were engineering samples or what, so I figured I'd be a little conservative (Tom was based on the 960MHz default clock).  The A20s do run cooler than the A10, even under dual-core load.

I see, that's some interesting information. Thank you!
