Hey Guys, I'm not sure if this is right placed here, but I try it ;)

I use the verison 1.0 image and have installed the pyload server.
Now I have upgraded my internet connection to 50Mbit/s (download in the browser is approximately 5-6Mb/s on my notebook).
I have the problem that the pyload server is only downloading with 2Mb/s (ca. 16Mbit/s).
Has anybody the same problem?
Any ideas why I can't use the full bandwith?

Thanks in advance!

Best regards,
AJ

Hey All,

I have still this problem...
Any ideas yet?
Thx

I noticed on my first Cubieez v2.0 install that there could be a problem with the /etc/source.list configuration.

Note that some lines use "stable" and some use "wheezy".

Wheezy is now "oldstable" and Jessie is "stable" so you could be pulling from two different versions.

I changed all of the lines to read "wheezy" if they had been "stable" and did an apt-get update and everything went fine.  I also installed some new packages and they worked fine.

Hi All!

This topic's referred from this article as a guide to install to SD card, but I didn't find the link to the document or some instructions.
After unpacking 1.1.0_A20 image and writing it to 8GB SD card I've got just three files:
Code: [Select]
uEnv.txt      ~200bytes
uImage       3643280
script.bin   46080
on 16MB disk:
Code: [Select]
───────── Removable disk F: (FAT) ──────────
Total bytes                       16,726,016
Free bytes                        13,033,472
Volume label
Serial number                      FE56-8552
and 'bootpwd' in the root directory of ext4 partition.

With this SD card Cubieboard2 shows a blank screen on HDMI monitor.
Current content of uEnv.txt is as follows:
Code: [Select]
screen0_output_type= (3)
screen0_output_mode = (tv/hdmi output, 10)
console=tty0
loglevel=7
root=/dev/mmcblk0p2 rootwait
extraargs=mac_addr=C0:0B:13:50:00:00 console=ttyS0,115200 earlyprintk=vga,ttyS0,115200

What am I doing wrang?

And point me to the installation guide, please. ::)

Add:

Just installed "Cubian X1" found here, it's working, so the problem obviously isn't with the CB2 hardware.

Hi

Is there any chance that Cubiescreen support could be built into Cubieez?
I have followed the instructions that the maker of the Cubiescreen have given for building support for their screen into an installation image, but unfortunately they do not appear to work and I have not received a response via email from them regarding this.
Also, the inability to apply Cubiescreen drivers to an existing instance of Cubieez is a fairly massive oversight on their part, and while I fully appreciate that it isn't your problem to fix, you'd be doing the community a giant favour if Cubieez could support the Cubiescreen without needing to entirely recompile the distribution based on their instructions which at best; are poorly written and at wost; plain don't work!

I've downloaded the newest version of the image (kernel 3.4.95) however it does not include the headers. As I've wanted to add few modules that are not included (i.e. 1-wire), does that mean I need to recompile the entire kernel on my own? If so, is there at least the config file that was used for building kernel for this image available anywhere? Which kernel is this based on? If it's not mainline and not from linux-sunxi, where do I get it?

So to update to 8.1 (Jessie) just replace wheezy -> jessie in /etc/source.list and apt-get update ?
This safety way?

add

It did not work. Stuck with package udev_215-17+deb8u1_armhf.deb
sorry for russian log, but i think this but I think that is understandable.

Sorry for my english, but I think that I got update to 8.1. if something is not understood, please question.
First I put a jessie repositories less the cubian repository which it remains wheezy.
I update the repositories with aptitude, and then I do a full-upgrade.
Then I uninstall consolekit and I do a full-upgrade.
To resolve the error for udev, I create the file /etc/udev/kernel-upgrade with touch and then restart the cubie.
In this step I try again to write full-upgrade and in this case upgrade all packages without error.

note: I do not have a graphical environment because it uninstall with the console kit, I have to try to install it.
note 2: I do not know if this version is stable for cubieboard, because I install yerterday and I could not test it thoroughly

thank you.

So only create the file /etc/udev/kernel-upgrade, zero size file?

Yes, only with
$ touch /etc/udev/kernel-upgrade

as I said before, it cost a lot that it works all right. Good luck

it worries me that the repository of cubian can not to update to jessie... so I am looking to install Debian jessie directly:

It's support ap mode(with the RTL8188US) on this debian?

I tried, install hostapd (0.8) and dnsmasq, I see the network (without key) but not able to connect it.

I tried same configuration on debian server image and work fine.

Nobody has tried the hotspot on this image??
