Kernel with TUN support (and required modules) download link @ first post.  ;)

To install:

- Replace "uImage" from boot partition
- Replace your "/lib/modules" with the new one
- Reboot

Also for CUBIUNTU?

You are the man!
I already tested it with Openvpn and it works great.

Thanks a lot.

I wanted to try this image because i have one free 2GB micro sd card  - but when i want to write it with win32diskimager it reports that the card does not have enought space on it.

---------------------------
Write Error
---------------------------
Not enough space on disk: Size: 3854336 sectors  Available: 3842048 sectors  Sector size: 512

- is that micro sd faulty or what?

Is there an option for faster remote desktop access like VNC? I like it but it is damn slow - i read something about redirecting x with ssh - can someone help with setup this? - or it is not usable for that purpouse?

Some microsd's  are 'smaller' than others. I copied it to a 4gb sdcard, than gparted partition 2 and made it smaller. After that a dd both partitions to the 2gb sdcard.

From Linux: ssh -X user@host
From Windows: Install XMing Server + PuTTY (Forward X11)

I'm probably missing something obvious here since I am a linux noob but I can not get this image to output in HDMI 1080p.  Any thoughts or direction would be appreciated.  Already edited the script.bin to output 1080p on screen0 but img does not seem to care. lol

Updated. XBMC native compiled binaries from rellla's fork. Not tested on Cubieez RC1, only on Cubieez rootfs with framebuffer. I'll release Cubieez rootfs in a couple of days.

Try adjusting monitor res @ uEnv.txt with:

disp.screen0_output_mode=EDID:1920x1080p60

Hi drkbcn !

Thx for your nice job.
However, I don't know if it's relevant of yours (sorry 1st time LXDE, I'm a Gnome2 user) but :
- I will always use it via VNC. How could I enable analog output ? I only see a dummy sound card... :-\

- How could I remove auto-start-x ? Using TightVNC Server (I can't use X11VNC just because I don't have HDMI @ home, primary display output is TV, and I don't want to use ~ 640x480 PAL resolution for VNC), I don't find the desktop utility for session user's settings,
[EDIT] I guess it and it worked (1 vnc server runs & on the desktop, mem used is now only 58MB ! I did better than your screenshot :) ) :
Code: [Select]
sudo apt-get remove --purge lightdm lightdm-gtk-greater- script.bin => Why the section « [gpio_para] » is not available anymore ?

Thx, regards
Fabrice

I wanted to and succeeded at getting it going with script.bin.  In addition to editing the screen0 settings I also adjusted the fb0 and fb1 settings and now have 1080p all the time.  Thanks.
