recovery.bin and system.bin
« on: October 13, 2016, 10:07:03 am »
Hello,

I was trying today to compile the kernel and android image from source. It seems that I hit a wall and I can not find any information about it. When I pack the image:

tools/pack-cm.sh

It says:

/tools/pack/outFile system.fex Not ExistBuildImg 360

I checked and it's right. system.fex and another file, recovery.fex are two symlinks to a system.bin and recovery.bin. The problem is I can not find them anywhere in the source or compiled output files. So the question is how do I compile these two, or where do I get them from?

I read the pack script and it's using these files:

    FileAddSum bootloader.fex vbootloader.fex
    FileAddSum env.fex venv.fex
    FileAddSum boot.fex vboot.fex
    FileAddSum system.fex vsystem.fex
    FileAddSum recovery.fex vrecovery.fex

It seems that I have all of them, except recovery.img and system.img.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.
