CubieTruck Plus Battery Life
« on: April 05, 2016, 08:28:56 pm »
I plan on running the CubieTruck Plus from a CubieTruck battery. There's a CubieTruck battery I found on AliExpress that's 3.7v @ 5300mAh.

Does anyone know the approximate battery life I might get from such a battery with the board running stand alone?

Or does anyone know the typical amps required for the board to run stand alone?

I know the power supply is 5v @ 2A, but the power supply is probably expected to run the board with most of the ports attached to other devices, so the actual board itself probably requires much less power than 2A. The 3 USB ports could potentially supply 1.5A, so I assume the board uses no more than 0.5A. Probably even less, considering an SSD could also be attached.

Is this information documented anywhere?

At first ,you can use this battery on your Cubietruck Plus , I tested  a 3.7v @5300MAh BAT , work with USBx2 and SATA , typical amps cna up to 1.8A.  And , 3.7Vx5.3Ah > 5Vx2A ,BAT power is enough  : )
