hi to all
yesterday my cubieboard arrived... cubieboard4 octacore...
preinstalled android ...
put on my LG FULLHD TV via HDMI and black screen...
put on PC Monitor works well...
i try'd both connected and change on settings/display to hdmi output ... all listed modes switched to but nothing ... just black screen :(
after this i updated the android to v3 ... latest release on official webpage... but same issue HDMI black screen
all other part of board is working WIFI,UTP,LEDS,USB,OTG etc. ... only not tested is the IR sensor...
is there a trick to activate hdmi or it is broken ?
my hdmi cable i sused with satelitte stb and works... same cable used also with my sony vaio laptop and works...
power supply is 5v 4A included in package...

the item purchased from www.seeedstudio.com
Regards.

problem solved...
it was the HDMI cable... pure quality...
i was wondering how it works with my laptop and satellite box ... maybe these are not so sensible...

Regards.

just had the same issue today with HDMI->DVI monitor connections.

Allwinner is known for having issues when using these connections.
Maybe some timing issue on the CB4.
Using HDMI->HDMI Monitor it worked out of the box.

yesterday buyed a new hdmi cable... works fine with amm my devices but cubie not...
and the final result is that cubie4 isn't compatible with my LG 8 year old FullHd tv...

I tested with same cable on all 3 hdmi inputs from my tv ... same result (black screen)
Same cable tested on other TV Samsub 6th Serie... and works well...

Suggestion : maybe a list with compatible devices are welcome in this forum...

Regards.

Yes, some HDMI monitors wont work, still do not know why. My current IPS LG monitor is not working with cubie4, neither with my macbook, only using VGA.

My Samsung SmartTV misteriously works.
