really no sata planned?

If not on component side, sata connector at bottom side of the PCB.

A80 is useless without is, slow sdcard , slow nand
I never understood why stata has been dumped on the A80.

I have been told that the 'soon' the sunxi uboot will support booting from a USB drive.  So you put only uboot on the mSD and all your partitions on a USB connected drive.  Also 'eventually' the uboot will be able to be copied to NAND (don't try this yet).

So it may not be 'so bad' of no sata.  Just bad enough.

And: sata6 is stable.

Or: faster flash memory , or static ram with battery (= fastest)
But the cheapest solution will be, sata connector.
