10 minutes before going to X window.

This is Linaro distribution.

Can I customize built the kernel to make it boot in less than 1 minute?

From what media You're booting. Changes in the kernel can slightly lower boot time, but it depends on many other things. You can disable some unneeded system daemons, change filesystem on rootfs, etc. Maybe You can do proper alignment partitions on Your boot media to faster reads from. Show Your /etc/hosts:
Code: [Select]
cat /etc/hostsIt may slow down start of Xorg. Show:
Code: [Select]
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/cpuinfo_cur_freqand
Code: [Select]
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/cpuinfo_max_freqand
Code: [Select]
cat /sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu0/cpufreq/scaling_governor
