Cubian, ALSA and snd-usb-audio module
« on: November 04, 2014, 12:07:25 pm »
I have Cubieboard1 (A10) and the latest update Cubian nano headless. I have plugged several USB audio cards (UCA202...) that loads the snd_usb_audio module.
#lsmod
Module Size Used by
sunxi_cedar_mod 10544 0
mali 113870 0
ump 56983 1 mali
gpio_sunxi 9412 0
snd_usb_audio 100679 0
snd_usbmidi_lib 18257 1 snd_usb_audio
snd_hwdep 5900 1 snd_usb_audio
snd_seq_midi 4623 0
snd_seq_midi_event 6491 1 snd_seq_midi
snd_seq 50941 2 snd_seq_midi_event,snd_seq_midi
snd_rawmidi 21134 2 snd_usbmidi_lib,snd_seq_midi
snd_seq_device 6616 3 snd_seq,snd_rawmidi,snd_seq_midi

I can also see it also with usbutils:
#lsusb
Bus 004 Device 004: ID 08bb:2902 Texas Instruments Japan PCM2902 Audio Codec
Bus 001 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 002 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub
Bus 003 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0002 Linux Foundation 2.0 root hub
Bus 004 Device 001: ID 1d6b:0001 Linux Foundation 1.1 root hub

However ALSA doesn't list it:
#aplay -l
**** List of PLAYBACK Hardware Devices ****
card 0: sunxicodec [sunxi-CODEC], device 0: M1 PCM [sunxi PCM]
Subdevices: 1/1
Subdevice #0: subdevice #0

Just the onboard soundcard appears.

Did I forget anything to load it ?
Thanks and regards
