Kernel is based on Patwood's .79, upgraded to .91 by D_NRW and further patched by me.

What's new is under construction. Any feedback would be helpfull. 8)

hi, thanks for new kernel. do you have build config?

D_NRW

It's all added to my site ( http://www.danand.de ) and in the binary sections at http://dl.danand.de/

(the configuration is inside the tar ball)

Cheers,

Daniel

Does your branch contain just some dirty local hacks, which do not deserve to be proposed for inclusion into the stable sunxi-3.4 kernel? Or are there some useful changes?

This is what most people are normally expected to use: http://linux-sunxi.org/Linux_Kernel#Kernel_versions and http://linux-sunxi.org/Linux_Kernel#Clone_the_repository

I am not aware what is the features upgrade between .79 and .91 but I don't really expect much. If we got some bug fixes that would be O.K. and we probably got that. I hope we didn't produce any new one  :P

Anyway 3.15 is probably going to be out/stable soon.

ok i put it on and it looks like its working fine. Btw why there is so much drivers now? My 2GB Sd card almost got full :) (lazy to move to nand)

D_NRW

Most important are the security fixes and filesystem bugfixes since 3.4.79
That's my motivation to get it updated.

Kind regards,

Daniel

The source is the same (mine = Daniel's version B) but of course we use different configuration. I haven't change it from my last kernel build.

Its matching vanilla kernel developmet? Like they take kernel 3.4.91 and apply Allwinter custom patches? or how do this works in sunxi kernel?

Does someone tried more recent kernel, like 3.15? What are biggest issues to move there? im just curious.

There is a major restriction for 3.15 mainline. There is no graphic driver because mali is not open source.

I have updated my base to Kernel 3.4.92.
