I use a Lubuntu server on CubieTruck.
I have read the page below about Wifi Configuration.

http://docs.cubieboard.org/tutorials/common/lubuntu_wifi_configuration

However I could not connect to AP.
When I run iwconfig command, I looked the output below.

root@cubie3:~# iwconfig wlan0 essid Myhomessid key s:Password123
Error for wireless request "Set Encode" (8B2A) :
SET failed on device wlan0 ; Invalid argument.

Also I looked a Error in syslog.

May  9 14:33:17 cubie3 kernel: [  898.899690] connect failed event=0 e->status 1 e->reason 0

I could list by "iwlist wlan0 scan". Maybe the wlan0 interface is working correctly.
But it was output the messages below at this time.

May  9 14:40:03 cubie3 kernel: [ 1304.849061] bcmsdh_sdmmc mmc1:0001:2: wlan0: (WE) : Wireless Event too big (65305)
May  9 14:40:03 cubie3 kernel: [ 1304.860771] CFG80211-ERROR) wl_notify_scan_status : scan is not ready

I have not resolved this error yet.

Do you know how to resolve someone?

Best,

joahe

HI

I  HAVE ERROR THIS COMMAND

iwconfig wlan0 essid [ssid] key [key value]

I HAVE NOT ERROR THIS COMMAND

iwconfig man page key parameter example like this ...

--------------------------
iwconfig eth0 key s:password [2]

There are two other way to configure your access to ap.
1) use wpa_supplicant to set up your configuration in /etc/neteork/interfaces. Search the forum for some examples....
2) in an desktop environtment and roaming around to several ap use NetworkManager. Then you have to disable all /etc/network/interfaces items. Just insert a comment char "#" at the first position of each line.
To do so, execute
sudo nano /etc/network/interfaces

Thanks

I tried it. But I could not resolve.
