Hi,

I just got my board to work with my lcd panel and I'm totally new into android. I'm looking for a regular terminal app and a shutdown app.

Can someone please recommend apps?

Thx mick

Hello.

From the level of OS you can use any terminal emulation script, (for example - https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=jackpal.androidterm),
but to use many of unix-like commands you should get busybox, without it you will lack MANY basic tools (https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=stericson.busybox) nevertheless you can still use (which can be more comfortable in some situations) serial port on 'cubie' board and PuTTy on Your PC.

About the shutdown you can do it manually (more advanced way) from for example shell script making shortcut for it on your desktop (command - 'busybox shutdown -h' should do the work) or just use  already existing tool from market (example- https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.liveov.rebooter) and just add a shortcut to widget from the app to Your home screen :)

There are so many possibilities, You just can experiment.

p.s-Notice that You need some other 'launcher' application than the default one to add shortcut to shell script to Your home screen.

EDIT:
Also for ADB console check:
