Linaro ubuntu from BerryBoot
« on: February 24, 2013, 07:03:02 am »
I try to install Linaro Ubuntu but have trouble with the BerryBoot. Installation process of BB does't cause any question, but  as i understand all images of OS dwnld through internet and in this fact i fail. My internet connection organized via DIR300/NRU, it has cable from provaider and 3 cables for SIP, set top box, dekstop. So i have subnetwork 192.168.0.XX. Where can i set a gateway for BerryBoot to set internet connection for Cubie?
I try also WiFi connection but  BB dont understand my  wireless adapter.
Thanks

Should work fine with dhcp.

Does your network not provide addresses via dhcp?
If not, why not!

I do it in this case
Open:
sudo vi /etc/network/interfaces in console of BB
then press "Insert" to edit file
write
iface eth0 inet static
address IP address
netmask netmask
gateway your_gateway
auto eth0

if you dont know number of interface you can see it with the ipconfig command

To Exit and save you may press @Esc@ button and write @wq@

Then you can change DNS with command sudo echo nameserver xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx >> /etc/resolv.conf

Also in BerryBoot beta5 you can find a graphical representation of it on Add Os->Proxy Settings
