Guys,

is the any one have a script to switch display from VGA to HDMI and vice versa.

You want a script and not the right display at startup?
The change to HDMI or VGA I have seen plenty of times in this forum.
The script for changing the output of the screen , only one time, but
I don't know if it was on this forum.

Cubiuntu 0.8 has a very clear one in the desktop see the video

Where would that video be found? I would like to see it.

I don't know is it good for you or not, because I have only one monitor (HDMI) but you can try the following:

1. type:   cat /sys/class/graphics/fb0/modes

2. you will get a list of avaiable video modes

3. type for example :  echo D:1920x1080p-60 > /sys/class/graphics/fb0/mode   

attention: there is no "s" in the end of the second command

the first letter is the monitor output type (I think) D: means digital (HDMI)   V:means Video(analoge)  U:means VGA  S:means S-video

for resolution changing this method is working, I checked it.   For output changing I dont know
