Cubietruck
VGA / HDMI output is determined at first boot. If you start your system with HDMI plugged in than your system will be preconfigured for HDMI after first boot else VGA if HDMI is not connected.

Hi i'm  prepare SD card:
sudo dd bs=1M if=Armbian_4.5_Cubietruck_Debian_jessie_3.4.109.raw of=/dev/sdc

plug VGA cable, boot device... prepare stage visible on my monitor, but after, screen - "input not supported"
can i change HDMI to VGA output w/o network? 8)

Hmm... or MB prob;lem with defaul resolution "...disp.screen0_output_mode=1920x1080p60..."...  :o

Update... make change disp.screen0_output_mode=1024x768p60 - screen blinking, change to "4" - same...  :-\

You need to alter /boot/script.bin and change output to VGA.

You need to alter /boot/script.bin and change output to VGA.
/boot/boot.cmd
"... disp.screen0_output_type=4 disp.screen0_output_mode=4..."
and
# mkimage -C none -A arm -T script -d /boot/boot.cmd /boot/boot.scr
this solved the problem  ;)

Hi, slovenia, :)
Can i use hw 2D rendering in DE (ex. lxde)?

I'm use Armbian_4.5_Cubietruck_Debian_jessie_3.4.109.raw image,

Modify kernel args:
...sunxi_ve_mem_reserve=190 sunxi_g2d_mem_reserve=16 sunxi_no_mali_mem_reserve sunxi_fb_mem_reserve=32...

Add /etc/udev/rules.d/50-mali.rules:
KERNEL=="mali", MODE="0660", GROUP="video"
KERNEL=="ump", MODE="0660", GROUP="video"
KERNEL=="disp", MODE="0660", GROUP="video"
KERNEL=="g2d", MODE="0660", GROUP="video"
KERNEL=="fb*", MODE="0660", GROUP="video"
KERNEL=="cedar_dev", MODE="0660", GROUP="video"

Add my user in group: video

Add in /etc/modules:
...
mali
mali_drm

And install: task-lxde-desktop

But X11 still use software rendering... 8(
Where i can find information about my problem?

I am not doing anything with MALI ... my focus is server images, but I guess it should be possible to bring it to life.

This must be something related to firmware ... I am out of office so can't check atm, but try upgrading 4.7.3 to latest via beta.armbian.com repository
https://forum.armbian.com/index.php/topic/2422-more-proper-testing-better-armbian-experience/

try exchanging firmware packages:

apt-get install armbian-firmware
reboot
try

apt-get install armbian-firmware-full
reboot
try again
